Starting as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in 2006, Kim progressed to lead roles in cardiology, spending 18 years in the field. Married for 30 years, she and her husband have four children: Madeline, Arianne, Grayson, and Layne.
Matthew Jay Budoff, MD, FACC, FAHA, is a professor of medicine at David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and the Endowed Chair of Preventive Cardiology at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. Dr. Budoff graduated from the University of California at Riverside (BS) and George Washington University School of Medicine (MD), where he was a member of Alpha Omega Alpha. He has authored or coauthored more than 50 books and book chapters and over 1000 articles, receiving numerous research grants from the National Institutes of Health. Dr. Budoff has been honored by the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography with the Gold Medal Award and recently designated as Master of the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography (MSCCT).
Dr. Tony DeFrance is a pioneering force in Cardiac CT angiography with nearly two decades of experience. As a former owner and operator of specialized CT centers, he has performed and interpreted over ten thousand studies, contributing significantly to research and education. Dr. DeFrance has taught cardiac CT techniques to over two thousand physicians worldwide, emphasizing appropriate use and clinical applications. He is a founding member and former executive board member of the Society of Cardiovascular CT (SCCT), known for his extensive lectures and workshops. Additionally, Dr. DeFrance has volunteered to train Cardiology fellows at prestigious institutions and played a pivotal role in developing clinical pathways to optimize Cardiac CT use in cardiac patient evaluations, advancing patient access to critical diagnostic services.
Dr. James Howton completed his residency in Family Medicine in 1996 and practiced emergency medicine in Oklahoma before moving to Estes Park, Colorado. There, he purchased and developed a clinic where he provided comprehensive care to families, from delivering babies to caring for the elderly in nursing homes. Dr. Howton introduced several innovative services to the community, including the first Urgent Care, bone density scanner, in-office cardiac stress testing, endoscopy, and infusion therapy with biologics for autoimmune disorders. As the practice expanded, he recruited other healthcare providers who continue to serve the community today.
Taylor is a dedicated multimodality radiology technologist with a background in both radiology and psychobiology. Since 2017, she has been committed to providing exceptional care to her patients. With an unwavering passion for the field of radiology, Taylor looks forward to continuing to make a difference in the lives of those she serves.
Heather is a CT Technologist at Clear Heart and Lung Imaging. She has spent 23 years in the field of imaging where she has gained extensive experience in advanced procedures in CT. She has a love for the radiology field due to the ever changing technology and the ability to work with her patients that are like family to her. In her off time she can be seen spending time with her fiancé Ken and their dog Oreo.
